Three Women Doing Yoga

Are you someone who is interested to learn about fitness photography?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the question above, this post is for you. I have shot for a fitness clothing brand for 4 years. That is given me priceless experience and bits of knowledge through some great lessons and disappointments. Here are some professional photography tips and tricks to encourage you to pull off really cool fitness pictures!!

Have a look and do comment in the comment section at the end of the post to let us know if there’s anything missing!

No. 1: Act like a fitness expert, not a model.

fitness, girl, health

This is likely the most serious of my fitness photography tips. Models look lovely, however in the event that they can’t do the development you require. If you will pose like a model, the shots won’t look genuine. Indeed, even the least complex body transformations won’t not look 100% right.

Simply, take help of a yogi and use an Astavakrasana posture for your fitness photograph. You can also make use of weights and go for an exercise that you normally do the best in gym. A decent lift will have an enormous effect on the look and effectiveness of the shoot.

No. 2: Make them look brutal.

Nothing will influence your pictures to look more genuine than having your ability really do the action. The authenticity of a hair flicks, overwhelming breathing, real sweat or minimal athletic expressions are the main factors in your fitness photographs.

One thing I generally tell the people I work with before we begin is that they have to tune in to their body (simply like in yoga). This is to ensure they’re not driving themselves to the point of damage. I would loathe in the event that anybody got hurt on shoot.

No. 3: Don’t settle.

action, exercise, figure

Another approach to keep it genuine is to have your ability continue moving and keep them from sinking into a “stance”. Indeed, even a static stance can indicate greater development. When somebody sinks into a posture (like a jump), their athletic expression changes as their muscles relax and they utilize their skeleton to hold their body weight.

No. 4: Open mouth relaxing

If the pace of a shoot is so fast that you are so overwhelmed (since they’re so fit), in those cases, you should relax yourself and open your mouth and breathe in. This can also appear in your photographs very naturally.

This is one of the fitness photography tips that will have an enormous effect.

No. 5: Make sure to express yourself

athlete, biceps, blonde

Past athletic characters, your heroes can inspire you in somehow to generate a self-image. Imagine how you want your face and body to look like in those fitness photography pictures. Get inspiration from your fitness expert’s photo-shoots. It will enable you to understand their story. Think about your fitness story while being photographed. Picture takers usually ignore this serious fitness photography tip constantly.

Which of these factors would you like to keep in your mind while going for a fitness photography shoot?

• Determination

• Satisfaction

• Happiness/Joy

• Tiredness/Exhaustion

• Something else?
