Over the past two years there have been quite a few new protein bars which have less sugar, high amounts of fiber, and low calories released. A big reason is the higher demand of healthy bars without tons of added sugars, artificial flavors, sweeteners, and GMO soy. Quest bars exploded in the marketplace, now pretty much available almost anywhere. Many of the flavors taste great, and I do consume Quest bars. However, they are not a vegan product and some of them contain sucralose. I still do not understand why some contain stevia and some contain sucralose.

However, I discovered D’s Naturals No Cow Bars at Vitamin Shoppe last year. Blueberry Cobbler was recommended to me. I read the label and I was interested. Nothing artificial, non-GMO, vegan, low carb, no sugar added, gluten free, dairy free, soy free, lactose free, and guilt free sounded awesome to me!

Next, I was hoping this bar did not taste like cardboard. I was pleasantly shocked. It tasted really good. In fact, it is one of my favorite overall bars, not just because it is healthy, but I actually crave the taste of D’s Naturals Blueberry Cobbler No Cow Bar. With 2g of sugar, 19g of fiber, 21g of protein, and only 170 calories, I felt like I was indulging while hitting my macros.

The protein comes from a mix of organic brown rice protein and pea protein. It has become one of my main go-to protein bars I buy over and over again. It can be a little pricier than a lot of protein bars, but they are not made with cheap fillers like the majority of protein bars on the market.   Each bar is still a lot cheaper than eating out.  You are better off going with a case of 12 bars to save yourself money, which you can do right HERE!

I am on the go a lot as a personal trainer and group teacher who travels to various locations.  These bars are a great snack, and even better in the summer when I cannot bring perishable foods with me.  They also work well for a pre-workout meal. I highly recommend D’s Naturals No Cow Bars and especially the Blueberry Cobbler flavor.
