Hello everyone! Today we will take a break from my gluten-free journey to talk about shopping while being gluten-free. Now I don’t know about some of you, but I like Costco, BJ’s and Sam’s Club. The reason I like these places is because I eat 4 to 5 meals a day which helps me reach my caloric intake goals. Or in other words I eat a hell of a lot food.

A while back my nutritional coach and The head wellness coach of CASS Fitness Ms. Carmen Griggs. Along with Ms.Holly Kopecky The head Child wellness and nutritional coach and food prep extraordinaire for CASS Fitness. Wrote me out a diet plan that involves eating fresh foods every day.

While this was a good idea in itself and worked out really well for my health, I had a hard time keeping up with all the cooking while working. So they made some adjustments and have add some frozen foods that I could eat that were easy for me to prepare so I can keep moving throughout my day. If you’re asking yourself, Isaac, why do you need nutrition and wellness coaches when you’re a nutrition and wellness coach yourself? My answer to that would be.

It is always good to have a masterful eye or in my case two pairs of masterful eyes. They are the ones that watch over you while you’re watching you to make sure that you’re staying on track and that you’re going in the right direction with your nutrition. In other words just like you shouldn’t be your own doctor, a lot of time shouldn’t be your own nutritional coach.

You might let yourself get away things that are bad for you but they won’t. OK so we’re going to look at some of the things I’m starting to eat on a regular basis. The first one up is chicken breast. Yes everybody eats chicken breast. I know it’s not my favorite thing but it’s not the worst thing in the world either. Since I’m in Costco today I’m buying Blue Ridge Trail chicken breast. It is 25 g of protein and 2 g of fat per serving. It costs 5.99 per pound and I usually spend $13.78. Then I buy Kirkland fresh chicken breast.

It is 24 g protein and 1 g of fat. I get 12 pieces in each one. It’s $2.79 a pound. I spend $20.73 on a pack. The next thing I get while I’m in Costco something that I can snack on or that usually ends up as breakfast. Garden Lites Super food Veggie Cakes are 3 g of protein, 10 g of carbs and 6 g of fat. It’s $9.79 and you get 12 in each box.

I usually put 2 tablespoons of hummus on top of it but not just any hummus. I use Hannah Hummus. it has 5 g of fat, 4 g of carbs and 2 g of protein. I paid $5.99 for 32 ounces. That’s usually breakfast on a busy day. Next I’ll talk about which frozen foods I buy.
